I am looking for a new sports car. I know that Toyota has made a turbo ago, was held in this quarter of 13 miles. My question is, they are now the majority of people in favor of such a speed is not competitive? I do not mean the concept car, or a super-majority of people in favor of the 2009 yet to be announced, or any other super-cars are very expensive.

Not really. They had the XRS trim available on the outgoing Corolla and Matrix models available that included an upgraded 180 hp engine. Since those models are both being replaced for the 2009 model year, I’m not sure what they will replace the XRS with.
All the high performance stuff Toyota puts an L in front of it. To tell you if you want to play you have to pay. If they make a cheaper car with the high end parts they loose business on the L side of the house. Simply place, is a entry level car with all the best parts they can find from off the shelves at the Toyota plant and charge premium price for them.
no, toyotas just focoused on excellent fuel milege. therefore all their cars have realy tiny engines. 0-60 in like 45 seconds …. not excellent
I work for Toyota. I don’t reckon they make any relatively cheap cars. As much as I respect all the models and just like others, they are too high priced for me to own newer ones.
Hope you find what you are looking for. God Bless!
only thing i can reckon of is the saturn sky/pontiac solstice / RWD turbo 260 hp&tq 0-60 mph bout 5 secs
Yes. The Camry SE V6 has 265hp and 265lb’s of torque and can get full body kit. Also has 18″ wheels wityh Pirelli’s on most. Also the 09′ Corolla XRS has Camry engine now, full body kit and 17″ enkei wheels. Also small throw shifter. It is very quick as I have driven as is the Camry SE V6. Also their are many performance mods as options such as cold air and borla exhaust among just a few. 5.7 Tundra has 385 hp and 425 lb’s of torque and will beat most stock sports cars in 1/4 and 0-60. Camry SE V6 is 23-26000 and XRS Corolla is 22,000 with all options needed. Tundra is 26000-44000 with 5.7 depending on thousands of options and performance mods.
if you want pick up and go, go to lexus and talk to them or go talk to a toyota salesman.
Have to question: “How quick?” and, “How priced?”
The Scion tC looks like a excellent place to start. Lots of engine mods available that will make it a small screamer.
2009 Corolla XRS is excellent, but another alternative is the Scion TC with the TRD Supercharger for around $20,000. You’ll get 200 hp out of that TC while getting the same mpg as the standard TC. How did they do it? They’re Toyota is how.
